What is the purpose of backup verification and how does it work?

Backup verification is used to test the data validity and whether it is workable of the backup data by using Ping, Heartbeat and Screenshot methods.

Firstly, you need to a verification lab, with the verification lab an isolated environment will be prepared on the VMware virtual platform to automatically(or manually) run verification jobs with the VMware VM bcakups, and you can create verification schedule on daily, weekly and monthly basis, verification reports will be generated and sent to users via email to show the verification results.

And you need to notice that Ping and Heartbeat Test need the Tools installed in the VM. If not, for Ping method, you can manually configure IP. But the Heartbeat Test will not work successfully.
