Storage Protection Or WORM Protection failed to be enabled

Question

Scene 1: When enabling Storage Protection on System>System Settings>Security Settings>Storage Security, it failed with error description "Please check if the VDP driver is loaded"

Scene 2: When enabling WORM Protection within the storage, it failed with the error description "VDP driver not loaded, WORM feature is not supported"

Answer

With Secure Boot enabled, the related VDP Driver can't load successfully. So the relevant functions cannot be activated properly.

Resolution

Please firstly check if Secure Boot option is enabled of vinchin server. If so, please disable Secure Boot option after shut down the machine and try to enable Storage Protection Or WORM Protection again
