Unable to stop or delete job, error message PT_service exception.

Answer

Root cause

Due to non-standard operations, such as deleting disks or modifying the system's network card configuration while a job is in the pending or running phase, PT_service exceptions occur.

Resolution

Please feedback the needed information to Vinchin Support Team via Customer Portal or email (customer.service@vinchin.com), we will provide assistance for you.

• Sort out all the operations performed before the exception occurred.

• Job screenshots of the system error.

• Send the complete system log corresponding to the date.

Note

• If your version is lower than v9-SP2, please go to web console with Monitor Center > Logs > System Logs to download the logs. 

• If your version is V9-SP2 or higher, please go to web console with Monitor Center > System > Download to download the logs.

Notes

1. When a job is in a pending or running state, storage cannot be deleted or modified.

2. Cannot synchronize storage when the job is in running state.

3. If you need to modify the storage, please stop or delete the job first, and then operate on the storage.
