What is Compute Resource Pool?
Vinchin Backup & Recovery suppport compute node resource pools which are used to achieve high availability and load balancing of compute node resources.
When creating a job
Vinchin randomly selects a computing node from the pool as the initial computing node.
When starting a job
Vinchin selects node based on load balancing calculations.
When not in use
Periodically check the status of the node associated with the job. If the associated node is offline, select other online node from the pool to be used for the next run of the job.
Load balancing
If multiple jobs share the same computing resource pool, when the jobs are initiated, they will be allocated to the nodes within the pool based on their load.
When the usage rate of computing resources such as CPU and memory of a single node is too high, the job will automatically use the idle computing nodes in the pool.
High availability
When the node that last ran the job goes offline, the next run will automatically use another online node.
