How to Improve the transfer speed of copy job to tape

Question

When running the copy job to tape, the speed is slow  (less than 50MB/s) and the transfer wave is unstable.

Answer

For copy-to-tape tasks, we currently support the use of a single tape drive per task, which limits the speed. Additionally, since tape copy jobs transfer data based on individual backup data points, the transfer speed exhibits a fluctuating, wave-like pattern.

Resolution

In the latest version (9.0.0.103094-SP3-Hotfix01), we have optimized the tape data transfer process, resulting in significant performance improvements over previous versions;

upgrading to this version is recommended to enhance the performance of copy jobs.
