On August 13th, the Beijing Information Disaster Recovery Technology Industry Alliance officially released the "Standards for the Construction of E-Government Cloud Disaster Recovery System" group standard (hereinafter referred to as the "Standards").

As a member of the Beijing Information Disaster Recovery Technology Industry Alliance, Vinchin, together with the National Engineering Research Center for Disaster Recovery Technology and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, among other institutions, participated in the drafting work of the "Standards." It is reported that the "Standards" will be officially implemented on September 13th, 2023.

Digital government is an important part of China's digital construction and a significant driving force for the coordinated development of the digital economy and society. Driven by Chinese policies, the overall market size of China's government cloud last year reached 50.052 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 17.17%. The broad market prospects require solid security guarantees, and data security has become a core element for the smooth operation of e-government cloud systems. Thus, the "Standards for the Construction of E-Government Cloud Disaster Recovery System" came into being.

The "Standards" classify and grade e-government cloud disaster recovery systems based on system importance and disaster recovery capabilities. They also provide normative requirements for the selection, platform, network, functions, and management of e-government cloud disaster recovery, offering standard support for the construction and improvement of e-government cloud disaster recovery capabilities.

Vinchin participated in the drafting of two major sections of the "Standards": Section 7.5 on functional requirements and Section 7.6 on performance requirements. These sections primarily focus on the qualitative assessment of the functionality and performance of e-government cloud disaster recovery systems. They include normative requirements for each technology's application needs and the performance effects that each technology should achieve when used.

Sky Huang, the Technical Director of Vinchin, who participated in the drafting work, stated that the introduction of the "Standards" will help promote the digital transformation of government affairs at all levels. By standardizing the construction of e-government cloud disaster recovery, it not only provides guidance for the deployment of government cloud disaster recovery for various units but also adds a guarantee for ensuring the data security of e-government cloud in the "last mile."

Since its establishment, Vinchin has been deeply involved in the field of data disaster recovery and has extensive experience in the construction of e-government cloud disaster recovery. It has provided e-government cloud disaster recovery services to platforms such as the Chengdu Government Cloud, Nanjing Government Cloud, Wuxi Government Cloud, and Baotou Government Cloud, serving as a professional product architecture to protect various levels of government cloud platforms.

With the implementation of the "Standards for the Construction of E-Government Cloud Disaster Recovery System," it is hoped that more targeted disaster recovery services can be provided to digital government cloud platforms in the future, contributing Vinchin's strength to the improvement of China's smart government service capabilities.
