Vinchin protects Xenserver & oVirt hybrid environment for Novo Tempo

Our IT infrastructure was primarily based on Xenserver platform. After a while we moved some business to oVirt. The previous backup solution could no longer protect all our crucial business on both platforms, so we started to search for a new one. There is very few backup vendors in the market that can backup both Xenserver and oVirt platforms. The initial idea about Vinchin was that performance should not be ideal because it’s a new brand for us. But after we tested it in our lab for a while, it results Vinchin is not only the process automated, but also fast and efficient. Our prejudice against Vinchin was dispelled, it is just simply the best!

Novo Tempo (Portuguese for "New Time") is a Portuguese Christian TV channel and Radio Station for Brazil. It is owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Novo Tempo features programming produced by Adventist churches, colleges, hospitals and institutions, covering religious, health, educational and family life topics.

In Brazil, TV Novo Tempo is present in 735 cities, 17 capitals, through an open channel with a reach of more than 74.5 million potential viewers. Novo Tempo’s IT infrastructure consists of more than 100 virtual machines running on Xenserver and oVirt hosts. All data and files stored in VMs are critical to Novo Tempo’s day to day operations as the Novo Tempo values its viewer satisfaction. The Novo Tempo’s aim is to recover all its critical data in the shortest possible time when any failure occurs. Ensuring reliable backup and fast recovery is a must for Novo Tempo so that the shows on the TV channel can be delivered to the viewers on time.
