Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Server Adding
Vinchin supports CDP for both physical and virtual machines, you just need to install an agent on the target machine and then use its credentials to add it to the backup system.
Create Server CDP Job:
After deploying the agent on the target server, you can create a CDP job for it:
- Select the machine for continuous protection
- Select the backup storage.
- Select backup strategies
- Submit the job
Recover Server Data:
With the CDP backup data, you can restore the server any point in time.
- Select the backup data
- Select restore destination and the recovery time point
- Select mode
- Submit the job
