Vinchin supports agentless backup for oVirt VM and you can use the backup to restore oVirt VM or perform V2V migration.
Installation & Configuration
You can get the installation package on the download page and then install it on a virtual machine or physical machine.
After that, upload the license that we send to you in the email.
Add backup storage before creating a backup job.
Host Adding:
Before adding the host, you need to install a plugin on the oVirt host.
The steps to download and install the plugin can be found in HelpCenter.

Backup oVirt VM:
After adding the oVirt host, you can create a backup task in 4 steps.
- Select the oVirt VMs you want to backup
- Choose backup storage
- Set the backup policy
- Submit the task
Restore oVirt VM:
When you need to restore a oVirt VM, just select the restore point in the system and create a restore job in 4 steps.
- Select the restore point from oVirt backup data
- Select the target host
- Select strategies or just skip it
- Submit the job
Except for full VM restore, you can also use it to perform granular restore to quickly extract file from it or instant restore to quickly recover a failed VM.
