Issue with SSH Access in Sangfor UEFI-Booted VMs Causing Backup Failures

Hi everyone,

I'm running into a problem with virtual machines booted via UEFI in a Sangfor environment. The backup system relies on SSH to fetch configuration files in the background, but if SSH access fails or is unavailable, the entire backup task crashes.

Has anyone encountered this before? I'm looking for workarounds or fixes to make the backups more reliable without depending solely on SSH. Maybe alternative methods to retrieve configs or ways to handle SSH failures gracefully?

Ran into this too. In Sangfor, UEFI VM backups can be tightly coupled with SSH for config collection, so when SSH is down the whole task crashes. Keeping SSH persistent or using agent-based backups is usually the safest workaround. Checking version compatibility also helps.

For HCI version 6.3 and above (possibly), the SSH port needs to be open. If SSH is bound to a specific IP address, the CloudBackup system's IP address must be added.
