Help: retention policy won’t merge backups

Hi — after the retention policy runs a backup job won’t merge (Apteka-April 8.0.0.45129). Error:

Failed to complete retention policy check for VM 'Test',[#54] Restore point is in use, please stop corresponding job then try again.

The job is stuck and won’t commit/remove points. Any idea what “restore point is in use” means and how to force/clear the merge? I can paste job logs or active job list if that helps.

I’ve hit this too — usually a leftover task is still holding the lock. A quick service restart cleared it for me and the merge finished. Posting the active jobs might show what’s blocking it.
