Back up an Ubuntu system and the job fails

Hi — trying to back up an Ubuntu system and the job fails with this error:

[ERROR: 400046#exist BIOSboot partition]: Task<04f9bd68-755b-4b31-82f5-59c2dd5b13ee> do not support backup BIOSboot partition lead to error

Backup stops — any idea what causes the “do not support backup BIOSboot partition” message and how to fix it? I can paste lsblk/fdisk -l if needed.

You likely hit this because of the small BIOS boot partition. Switching the VM to UEFI or excluding that partition usually fixes it.

Adrian Prescott Backup and recovery are not currently supported for hosts that boot using GPT+BIOS.
