Using Huawei FusionCube 6.3.1 Advanced with a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM and backup software 7.0.0.25220, installing the OS plugin fails because the web UI reports #400005 — snapshot failed; I retried the install and confirmed the VM is powered on and reachable — any known causes, troubleshooting steps, or specific logs I should collect?

This may be caused by the following issues:

According to the log error message, the volume shadow copy function is not enabled, causing the disk snapshot to fail.
Insufficient free space to create a snapshot.
Incompatible operating system, such as RedOS (Russian-made system), CentOS Stream 8, etc.
Under Huawei KVM virtualization, selecting a Windows virtual machine for operating system backup will result in snapshot creation failure. This issue is caused by multiple snapshot providers after installing tools on the virtual machine. This issue has been fixed in the 6.0.1 branch and mainline. You can check the volume shadow copy providers using vssadmin list providers.
