I'm encountering a persistent error while trying to perform a backup on my XCP-ng system, and the operation fails to complete. The core issue from the log appears to be a connection failure. Here is the specific error message:
[ERROR:20#Socket connect error]: try all ip, but still connect failed, master_ip: 172.18.22.5, port: 29202
The error indicates that the client tried all available IPs but still couldn't establish a connection to the host 172.18.22.5 on port 29202. I've confirmed that the host 172.18.22.5 is generally reachable on the network (e.g., it responds to pings), but for some reason, the backup service cannot connect.
I'm seeking help from the experts here. Has anyone faced a similar issue before?
What could be the potential root causes? My initial suspicions are:
A firewall blocking port 29202.
The backup service not running correctly on the master host.
A network configuration or routing issue.
