Backup and Cross-Platform Restoration Failing with Ceph Backend in ZStack 5.1.10

Hello everyone,

I’m currently facing an issue with ZStack (version 5.1.10) using Ceph as the backend storage. Whenever I attempt to perform backups or cross-platform restorations, the operation gets stuck for a while and eventually fails with the following error:

[ERROR:#572 SSH2 authentication error]

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any insights into what might be causing this SSH2 authentication error? Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Anthony Kirkwood Hello, this may be because your environment is encrypting the SSH connection password.

To resolve this issue, on each zstack host backend, copy the ceph.conf file from /etc/ceph to /etc/backup_system/ceph/zstack/, rename the file to prefix_ceph.conf in that directory, and grant the file +x permissions.
