Anyone seen [ERROR 5139: read remote disk error] during AWS backup?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to back up an AWS instance, but the data transfer keeps getting interrupted.

Error log:
[ERROR: 5139#public cloud: read remote disk error]: Task<c26ae2ba-5884-4477-9594-815192b6f28d> some thread error,

Has anyone run into this issue before? Any ideas on possible causes or solutions? Thanks in advance!

You can try restarting the task and running the backup again — sometimes it works on the second attempt.
Also, if you’re backing up an AWS international instance from within China, there might be network latency issues. I’d suggest checking your DNS settings and switching to your local city’s DNS server. For example, Chengdu Telecom uses 61.139.2.69.
